There was a stray cat in my hostel that I used to feed, she soon became a regular visitor who would often sleep in my room too. The cat was expecting kittens and one fine day it gave birth under by bed. I have fed the mother and kept the kittens for 5 weeks without much disapproval from the management. Unfortunately, hostel rules no longer allow me to keep the mother cat or her kittens in my room, and I’m now under pressure to find safe, loving homes for the kittens — and soon.
