  • Litter trays & scoop (2 trays in quiet areas; clean 1–2x/day)
  • Clumping, unscented litter (non-flushable; dispose in wet waste)
  • Food & water bowls (steel/ceramic, not plastic)

  • Carrier (secure, well-ventilated; soft or hard shell)
Comfort & Play
  • Soft bed or blanket (they may also love boxes!)
  • Toys – feather wands, balls, toy mice
  • Cardboard or sisal scratching post
  • Cat tree (optional, but great for climbing + rest)
  • Toothbrush – a soft, damp toothbrush can mimic mom’s grooming
Grooming & Safety
  • Brush – soft-bristle, once they’re comfortable with you

πŸ’› Take It One Day at a Time
Every kitten is different. Some will hide for a week; others will curl up in your lap by day two. Go at their pace. Be consistent. Stay patient. Your calm, caring presence is the best gift you can offer them.
They’ll come around, and when they do, it’ll be worth the wait.
